How we work

Editorial Policy

This page explains where our numbers come from, how they are checked, how often they change, and what happens when we get something wrong.

Our sources

Every calculator is built from documents the brands publish themselves, plus other publicly available data. In order of preference we use:

  • Official nutrition PDFs and data tables published by the brand
  • The brand's own website and in app nutrition pages
  • Published nutrition databases that source their values from the brand

How data is entered

Values are transferred item by item into our data files, keeping the brand's own categories, serving sizes and units wherever possible. We do not invent values for items a brand does not publish, and we do not average numbers across sources to fill a gap.

Where a brand publishes a value we cannot reconcile, such as an obvious typo, we either keep the published figure or correct it from the brand's own supporting data, and we say so on the page or in our change notes.

Calculations

Calculator totals are simple arithmetic. We add the published values of the items you select and multiply by quantity. Nothing is modelled, predicted or estimated by us beyond that addition, which is why a total is only as accurate as the published figures behind it.

Mistakes are possible

This is an information website run by a small team. Data is copied from source documents by hand and by script, and both methods can introduce errors. Brands also publish corrections, reformulate recipes and change portion sizes without notice.

So treat every figure here as a reference, not a guarantee, and check the brand's current nutrition information before acting on it.

Updates

We review calculators against the brand's latest published nutrition document when we learn that one has changed, and periodically otherwise. Where a source document has a date, we base the page on that version rather than on memory of an older menu.

Corrections

If you spot a wrong number, email inyourcorner01@gmail.com with the page, the item and the source you are comparing against. We check the report against the brand's own published information and update the page when the report is correct. Corrections are made quietly for typos and noted on the page when a figure changes materially.

Independence

We are not affiliated with any restaurant chain and no brand pays for, reviews or approves our content. The site may carry advertising, but advertisers have no say over which brands we cover or what our pages say. An item that is high in calories is shown as high in calories.

What we do not publish

We do not publish complete allergen data, personalised diet plans or medical guidance. Those belong with the brand and with qualified professionals.

Accuracy notice

Nutrition Calc is an information website. Every number on this site comes from official brand nutrition documents and other publicly available data. Menus, recipes, portion sizes and suppliers change often, so figures here can be out of date or contain mistakes. Always check the restaurant's own nutrition information before making a decision, and speak to a qualified professional for medical or dietary advice. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any restaurant brand named on this site.
